About the Area
Omokoroa is perfectly located midway between two famous beaches – Mount Maunganui Beach and Waihi Beach – both just a 30 minute drive away and perfect for a day trip
At both of these very popular beaches you’ll find miles of white sand and blue surf.
At Mount Maunganui you’ll find Oceanside cafes and bars and some great shopping. Walk around (or up) the towering Mount Maunganui for some excellent views and great picnic spots.
Opposite the beach at Mt Maunganui is the tranquil harbour at Pilot’s Bay, an excellent spot for swimming (no waves), kayaking or fishing.
Waihi Beach is a smaller community but the beach can be just as busy during summer!
